about me

I’m a West Australian artist & a dedicated student of creating with colour & nature. I have worked in a wide range of materials & I’m inspired by the endless interactions between materials & process &, look to these to guide how my works form. I explore the variations a slight change can bring to the mood that is arising, seeking for the balance that allows my materials to sing in harmony & shine anew.

I have always created; playing, enquiring & transforming materials of some kind or another. I trained in textiles & have taught handwork & painting for many years.

Currently, I’m creating with watercolors & a range of natural materials, from my studio in the southern suburbs of Perth. I also paint interiors in a technique called ‘Lazure’ painting, where colours are gently layered onto walls in such a way that they breathe with life.

My exploration of colour & nature has spanned over 30 years now & all aspects of my life have been involved. What an amazing journey…!
